We are delighted that our families find Holy Ghost Catholic School to be a welcoming learning environment for all children, especially those who come from different places around the world and from various cultural backgrounds.
As part of our wonderful mix of children, a full 20% are children whose parents are affiliated with different branches of the military. These children and their families are tremendous assets to Holy Ghost. They contribute knowledge of diverse cultures and traditions, and they bring with them the capacity to adjust to new social situations. A strong sense of purpose is inspired by their parents’ commitments and military leadership.
While students from our military families ordinarily adapt well to the sense of family at Holy Ghost, we are nevertheless aware of the potential disruption to family and school life experienced by these children. In acknowledgement of these challenges, families should be assured that these students are welcomed by classmates and nurtured by teachers and staff in a positive school climate.
We are privileged to be “front line” support for our military children and families.
"Holy Ghost is more than a community school; it has become family. This is vital to us as a military household because we live so far away from our own families. The support, kindness, values, and love that Holy Ghost continues to show us is greatly appreciated and we are truly blessed and lucky to have found such a wonderful school and community."
- Beth, Holy Ghost teacher and military spouse
"I felt kind of nervous on the first day of school about making new friends. I made tons of new friends though. I will miss them when I move. I love how everyone is nice and welcoming. The teachers are very helpful."
- Maya, 5th grade
"Holy Ghost provides an excellent education in a loving environment. My children receive not only a great education but are encouraged to serve others and to be compassionate like Christ. As a military family, I appreciate their understanding of what that entails. I couldn’t ask for a better school."
- Ann, Military Parent
