Athletics

Holy Ghost Catholic School offers athletics for all students in 1st-8th grades. Our Elementary program (1st-4th grades) is focused on teaching fundamentals and allowing students to explore which sports they may enjoy. Our Middle School program (5th-8th grades) offers students a chance to practice and play in a more competitive environment. All levels focus on teamwork, individual skill improvement, and good sportsmanship as traits to be developed in our athletes.

All 1st-8th grade students are invited to play sports. We do not "cut" students based on talent or athletic abiliity. Coaches will incorporate students of all skill levels into Holy Ghost teams. If a student attends practices and games, as well as maintains good academic and behavioral standing, that student is eligible to play on a team. This unique “no-cut” policy allows our students to enjoy a wide range of athletic opportunities.

Holy Ghost Catholic School is a member of the Albuquerque Parochial and Independent Athletic League (APIAL) and abides by its rules and regulations. 

Students in 1st-8th grades may be eligible for participation in the following sports:

• Girls Volleyball 
• Boys and Girls Basketball 
• Boys and Girls Cross-Country
• Boys and Girls Track and Field
• Boys and Girls Flag Football
• Boys and Girls Soccer
